Carrying a gun in Mohave County

Arizona has been a permitless carry state since 2010. Anyone 21 or older who may legally have a firearm can carry it concealed or openly, with no license and no class. Under 21, carrying concealed is still an offense under A.R.S. 13-3102, so younger adults carry openly or keep the gun cased in a vehicle. The optional Concealed Weapons Permit is issued statewide by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, not by the county sheriff. Schools, polling places, court facilities, nuclear and hydroelectric stations and posted private property stay off-limits.

Unit 16A begins at Kingman's I-40 Exit 48 and runs southwest toward the Bill Williams River, while Unit 18B covers the Big Sandy and Hualapai country east of U.S. 93. Desert mule deer, javelina and Gambel's quail are the mainstay, and the Commission-owned Seven Mile range sits out in Golden Valley.
